Classroom Craziness...

So, as I mentioned, I had BIG plans to head back to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and the Dollar Tree yesterday with my bestie, Jenni.  Both teachers, we had one thing on our minds...CLASSROOM SHOPPING!  It was great fun, and we found TONS of great stuff!

Big tin standing owl--SO cute...Michaels for like $5.40 or something!  Tiny standing owl came from Hobby Lobby...Owl Cutouts from Dollar Tree...Vinyl Wall Clings from Joann's Dollar bins, two more butterfly swatters from Dollar Tree--now I have all 4 of my colors!  Paper packs of cardstock were also on sale at Michaels.

Owl die--hope he is compatible with our cutter...tissue paper fans from the Dollar Tree, only I won't be attatching the flower in the center, but my own Black & White & Bright circle centers.  Mini paper bags for my birthday board, and borders--green one's on clearance at Michaels for $1.99, and the others were $3.99, but buy 2, get 1 free!

He will be hopefully stuck in a big plant for my room!

Ribbon...was 1 dollar at Michaels...not sure where it will go!

So CUTE.

And...my very FIRST washi tape rolls!  YAY!  Not sure what I'll use them for, but I'm sure I'll find something!

I also got some classroom things for my "robot" theme that I am doing NEXT year...so I keep stockpiling it!  Remember how I said I have my daughter, Payton, in my class this year?  Well, next year I have my son, Carter!  So for him I have picked a robot theme...so I grab everything I can for that whenever I see it.  Claire, my youngest, will be the year after him...and she keeps asking me what HER theme will be...and whoosh...that's just way to far ahead, considering I get bored every five minutes.

One last thing before I go...I realize I have been SUPER negligent on throwing the love and freebies around lately...I PROMISE there will be big, wonderful things on the horizon...I just have to find the time!

Another Frenzy Friday Freebie

The week is nearly done...and I am in some serious need of some quality family time!  Summer is so BUSY and so unscheduled that I feel like my entire family is never in the same room at the same time!  I was feeling mopey this morning and I'm always panicking about how big my three kiddos are getting...I'm not going to lie...I actually asked them if we could sit down and watch Barney together (like we did when they were younger)...sad, but true story.

While Barney rolled, I threw together this Friday Frenzy Freebie...Owl Punch Cards!  I really want to move to a punch card system this year...as I'm bored with sticker charts and tickets.  I'm not exactly sure how I will use them yet--that's why I made them pretty basic:

This is one punch card...the entire sheet looks "busy" all together, but awesome cut apart (I know because I already cut a sheet apart for my 3 kids to play with--I LOVE having live-in kid-testers!)

Whole sheet with 9 different styles...wait--strike that--8 different styles, one repeats!  :)

Click HERE to download this freebie!  Make sure to follow me on Bloglovin' so you don't miss any of my freebies!  (Click the Bloglovin' button on the right).  Also, please leave me a comment on TPT and let me know what you think!

Does anyone have any words of wisdom on how they use punch cards in their classroom?  I'd love to hear!

Introducing..."Feathered Friends"...

So, a quick post before I head to bed...I've been working on a couple of different projects right now, and one of them is my new "Feather Friends" Classroom Decor pack.  This pack has super-sweet clip art of owls, birds, and tulips, and its color scheme is turquoise, coral, yellow, and pink.  I started out with deskplates and then moved on to Bible verse posters.  I realize these won't be for everyone, but as a Catholic school teacher, I am always looking for cute decor that shares the faith.  After they were done and I printed them out, I actually decided I'm going to frame a few and hang them in Payton's new room when big-sister Rachel leaves for college!  Here's a quick glimpse at what I have so far--keep checking my store for other additions--there will be more for both public school teachers, as well as us private school teachers!

Click on any of the pictures to see them in my TPT store!  My 20% off sale is still going on if you hurry!

Friday Frenzy Freebie

Well, my friends, it has been one LONG frustrating day at my computer.  Long story short, I finally got a new printer, because mine...died...and when I went to print all my Black & White & Bright collection...I was NOT pleased...it printed way too dark to see any contrast between colors...I really don't think it was just my new printer, as I often misjudge the intensity of printer ink from that reflected on the screen...SOO...I started the long journey of recoloring it ALL...big, big, big SCREAM SIGH...

But, on a happy note, I took a much needed break from that to whip together my Friday Freebie--an owl themed All About Me poster.  I remember when I first started teaching and I paid big bucks to order these types of posters from Scholastic for my first day...it never occurred to me that I could MAKE my own!  TPT has given us all the mindset that we can self-create...or buy what another teacher self-creates when we are too lazy busy!  Either way, enjoy!  Click on the picture to download from my TPT store!  Don't forget to share the love with a little feedback!  :)

My Owl Obsession...

Okay, so anyone "whoooo" knows me, knows that I have a bit of an owl obsession...I don't exactly know how it happened, or when it happened...I just know it's there...along with oodles of owl gifts I've accumulated from students, family, and friends.  However, I have declared to all that I would NOT be doing an owl theme in my classroom this year...because I NEVER repeat a theme.  Well, I meant what I said, and I said what I meant...

unless...

well...maybe unless it is in reference to owls.  You see...I started playing with my Black & White & Bright theme...and started adding...you guessed it...OWLS!  And it is SO cute...and I really want to use it...look at these pennants:

Or these Circle decorations:
( Both can be found here.)
YOU tell me...What is a girl to do?
